That does look very dark from the outside. But from the inside looking out it seems to be perfectly clear, especially on the driver's window.

I agree. Visibility from inside is great. And I don't think that cinnamon interior would look so dark either.

Its generally acknowledged that Madico (Wincos) uses the best glues in the industry.

Anyway - this is 45/25 split tint on Carbon Black.

Lee Berbs is the best.

Tom Kovach (Mint Tint - The Art of Tint) in NYC is also a legend. The best "micro-edge" work I've ever seen. Never any games - single sheets - felt - whatever needs to be done for a perfect job. He uses Huper Optik but you get what you pay for.

Looks good. What brand is this? By the way you should avoid roads with a black car after the new blizzard warning until Saturday. they dumped a ton of salt everywhere which truly screws the paint.

You should get it done once. There is no need for being cheap when you are tinting a $60K+ car.

lulzz I picked the car up last Thursday night and then Saturday night I took her out and it started to snow and got stuck behind a salt spreader lol. I can't win. At least I was laughing about it instead of crying.

Anyway - tint is "Wincos" (made by Madico) - I highly recommend the brand.

Salt spreaders are the worst! The same thing happened to me on Sat and I got stuck behind one because no one moved passed it so my graphite shadow gray car is white now. I was going to get it washed but then it started to snow and I said f*** it. So I am happy that my car is arriving at the end of this month after the blizzards etc.

I am still not convinced about the split tint look but may warm up to the idea. Like you said, it needs to be a complementing set of shades front and rear. In my previous cars, I just had the rear window tinted to cut glare at night and not touched the rear and front side.

Apples to apples most would agree - one shade all around looks best.

Personally - I always liked lighter fronts and darker rear(s), even on coupes.

I wonder how would 5% in the rear and 35% on all side windows look?

Finally decided to go with Madico Wincos. Once the car arrives next week, I'll do the tint immediately.

35% sounds good. I may try something weird and get 50% IR protection film on all sides and the sunroof and 5% or 20% on the back.

I just drove past the meet-up location about 20 minutes ago. So far I've driven roughly ~260 miles.

Really starting to like this car - tonight was the first time I tried the paddles: this car is a velvet hammer. I haven't had her above 3500 rpm's but strangely I don't feel like I'm missing much. This quiet driving is paying off in the gas department as well averaging 16.9 mpg which is really surprising to me. Reminds me a little of my friend Andrews (rip) '06 545.
