I cant start my car. please help.
i have a 2001 bmw 540i dinan5 and about to weeks ago i found out that it has an immobilizer function. so i put in a code i want to use and saved it. i used the code about six times and then it massed up. i got it the car and put the code in and pressed deactivate and it did not responds. it went into an emergency code with a count down clock of ten mins. except the clock is frozen at 9:59. i tried unhooking the batter for 20 mins and still the same issue occurs. if any can assist please do so.

the car is at the shop and the mechanic is telling me i need to replace my instrument cluster.
