I installed the switch on my F13. Not only is it good for thick fog, but it also keeps pesky tailgaters in check. These lights are bright and they generally back off when I turn them on.

On our cars, rear fog lights on = the Adaptive Brake Lights ON.
The (bigger/ brighter) Adaptive Brake Lights come on when the car detects strong brake pressure being applied. I have never seen anyone use the rear fog light on their car properly in the US. Most of the time, and this is very annoying, they just leave it on and drive around year-round with it. Same goes with the front fog lights. I am missing something.... Yup. I've seen a few examples of clueless drivers leave them on. Add Audi, Volvo and jaguar drivers to that list.

I just ordered one for myself and one for my wife's 330 from ECS tuning. I will give a review once I have them installed.
We get a LOT of fog out here in DE (a land of bogs and fogs), so increasing the visibility of my cars during the times the fog rolls in and myself and the others on the road can't see squat in front of us is worth something.

Live in the mountains for any period of time and you'll see the value of rear foglights. Heck, in heavy snow or rain where visibility is reduced below 100m I'll switch them on. |

I am missing something....[/QUOTE] I run the front ones daily with yellow lamps to be seen in the sea of DRLs. Besides, shouldn't a fog light be yellow for better penetration? Why not OEM that way?

Today, I received my rear foglight switches for my F10 550 and my E90 330. I think the visibility of my car to someone approaching it from behind will be greatly enhanced during heavy rain/snow/fog. (not that I intend to use either of these during a blizzard)
Both were VERY easy to install with just reviewing the procedures posted on the website, even a non-mechanically inclined person could do it, even with basic tools. You can use the trim removal tools they show, or you can do like I did and use a broad headed screwdriver that was wrapped in a microfiber towel. the E90 was not as easy as my F10 due to age/design, but I was still able to do it in about 10 min for each one.

Yeah, I got mine today which was a nice surprise since I thought they were back ordered till late in March. So the only thing left now is the car lol.

Got mine yesterday along with neat trim tools from ECS. Easy install. Rear fogs are cool.
