Damn, I'm jealous. We have about 2 ft on the ground. Nothing has been plowed off my street, can't even get out of the parking garage at my apartment complex. After that is done, I'm heading out

Looking at these pictures, two things come to my mind:

1. I am jealous, wish we got even a little bit snow here in Atlanta (sunny and about 60 F today), so I could try out my X5...
2. The current E70 is a good looking vehicle (especially yours Sylvan Lake)

What are you guys using for tires? My pictures were taken on a lake and my X5 didn't seem to struggle to get going like you guys do in a parking lot, without a video of mine it's hard to compair but mine would really pick up speed where as you guys just seem to spin harder as throttle is applied. It sure looks like you had fun and nothing better than with a group of guys I wish I knew other X5 drivers that weren't 90yrs old. With a whole lake as a play ground it would be a blast to go tear it up.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I just picked it up a few months ago and I have done a fair bit of work to it already.

My favorite shot from the lake.

I was a blast man! We are all running on summer shoes, but even so the X just plow thru all that snow with no problem, the far end of the lot had a foot or more and it was cake haha.

P.S love your stance man! How's the ride?

I figured they must be summers, I have DWS all-seasons but they are awesome in the snow i heard as they wear the snowvtraction is the first thing to go...next season I plan for dedicated winter tires. It's Lowered with H&R springs and adjustable links in the rear to lower the air bags, when the picture was taken it rode like crap the rear wouldn't inflate so it was brutal now the rear is about an inch higher so it sits level and the ride is pretty good.

Not only you. I've been patiently waiting for a good snow blast here in southern VA. We got some a few weeks ago, but not enough to have fun in. Very sweet X's guys. Keep the pics rolling so we can continue to drool.

Am going to look into the H&R's looks sweet man, as far as the tires well the over revving didn't help lol but just driving to and from the lot was not as bad as I expected, never the less I agree dedicated winter or all season at the very least . Just got a set of the conti's going on this week, glad you confirmed they are good. the whole idea of going on a lake i most say is a nit scary hehe, I would be to scare to attempt it.

Literally 100s of people are on the lake every day, the boat launch gates are all left open so people can get on the lake easily. The town Has large water trucks on the ice that flood out door ice skating rinks and even sends the grader out to plow snow for winter ice racing events. There are all kinds of activities on the lake in the winter, I guess you southeners have never seen anything like that but just about every lake I know of has people driving on them usually to go ice fishing.
The spot I was at was close to shore as you can see houses in the back ground so it is 100% frozen right to the bottom.

I don't have the lux bulbs but I do have my car coded as well, what the coding does is run the AE at full power and eliminate the deeming feature so when headlights go on, the AE stay the same as bright.
