Help with error code

My 2006 750Li is displaying the yellow car outline, and has SCH-R390 on the display. Any ideas?

Yellow means there is an error/ malfunction, but the car is still drivable. Try and get the code read at our local auto parts store and post back.

I have an OBD II reader...can I use that or is it BMW-specific?

Yes, OBD should be able to give you the error code.

if your car is yellow in the i-drive, go to car data and you should see why under the CHECK meu or the one below it. Usually it's something minor like your brake pads, oil change, etc.

As far as the SCH line, that means the car is connected to your phone via bluetooth for hands free.
