E63 / E64 6 Series (2004 - 2010)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

Blue tooth pairing on 2007 650i

I can't get my brand new Samsung Gaalxy Note II to pair with my 650i convertible
Previously I had other devices, Blackberry and iphone paird with the car without any issues.
The phone sees the car which shows up as BMW 7253 (the last 5 digits of the VIN #). I have tried picking various 4/5/6/7 digits codes which i enter both on the phone and then on the car, however, I get an error message that says the BMW rejects the pairing with the phone.
According to, my Samsung Galaxy Note II is not on the list of compatible devices.
I am prety sure that I need some kind of a software upgrade for the car, the iDrive system.
Has anyone upgraded the software version of the iDrive on 2007 650i before?
Any help or links in terms of how I can go about doing it would be much appreciated. I am very computer/software savvy so I am not worried about the complexity?
Can the dealer do it?

I would first try to pair with another phone to verify the hardware is still working ok. I don't see why it wouldn't work unless, you might want to call up the place that you purchased the phone from and see if this issue has ever
come up with other people. They might have an answer for you maybe some weird setting in the phone or even a software upgrade on the phone itself.
If all of that doesn't work head to the dealer and see what upgrades are available and the cost.

Just replaced my iPhone4 with a new Nexus 4 and it paired with my '06 which is running original software. I used 0000 as the pairing key.

The list of phones on the BMW bluetooth page seems out of date so I would worry too much that the Note II is not shown.

We use Nextel direct conect phones for our company and when they merged with Sprint we had to upgrade our phones. Like Yorgi said, the list is outdated for our 06's and most likely your 07. What I did is go to the store and tried pairing with a few differnet models until I found one that worked.
