Just had my car coded- something you should consider.

Ok, so I've had my car for a month now, and have put about 2k miles on it. I figured it was about time to get rid of the minor annoyances that come with the 6. So I met up with Steven (CN555IC) in Brooklyn today and in 1/2 hour he hooked me up with:
-start stop set to last setting
-electronics off when car is turned off and door is opened.
-passenger side view mirror tilts down better in reverse.
-Turn signals show in HUD.
-Mirrors flip up when doors locked with key.
- No more seat belt bell.
- No more I drive warning.
- heat/ac set to last setting on restart.
- DVD works when moving.
- tire pressure sensors show temp of tires and individual pressure.
-rear drl
- Also the top goes down quicker.

Individually not one is a big deal, but all in all a Sunday well spent.

I am guessing you mean the the mirrors fold when the doors are locked? And what does the climate control default to without coding on a restart? I would think it would be last used settings.

It always defaults to air conditioning on

And yes. Mirrors fold when doors locked with key.

Did he code entertainment/phone list in HUD? I really like having that in the hud, never have to look down.

BTW if anyone is in Texas and wants to stop by Austin, I would be more than happy to help you code.

That is pretty sweet. Where can I get that done at? Will the dealership do that? If not does anyone in SoCal know how?

Got to head over to the 3'er and 5"er board and find some local coders.

A fellow fester, DreamCar, coded my 550 with many of the same options. I have the software and the cable, so I'll take a crack at it after my car is redelivered. I was really hoping to remove the speed limiter while in Germany, but none of the fest's coders have had any luck thus far.

-Fogs on with High Beams (Fog Lights will not turn off when high beams or used)

-Open and "close" trunk with key and inside trunk release button (requires power lift-gate)

Some of the features are dependent on the car options and type... obviously you can't open/close trunk unless it's motorized! Also the tire Pressure/Temp is hit or miss depending on the manufacture date of the vehicle (Doesn't work on my 7 built 11/11 but does on the 6 built 2/12)

This is a great list of features that can be coded. I would add a couple more that can be coded:
1. Decrease sensitivity of the auto headlight function so that you don't drive with headlights on during the day when the sun is low (winter months). Stock setting keeps the headlights on too often during the day.
2. Activate sport gauges showing real time horsepower and torque.
3. Add telephone, turn signals and infotainment features to heads up display (if your car has HUD).
