navigation

my navigation is not going to sleep,the light still on, and in couple days my battery is dead,
look like i need new navigation ,does any member has this problem before?

i got a nav you can get from me.. im going to swap my factory one out with aftermarket anyway. so u can get the drive and cpu for 200... **** i will even thro in the disc changer for 25 more
i have a 97 bmw 740il i think they use same in ur yr n mine. far as i know

look ok , but i need make sure if my navigation is the problem, i no want to buy urs if i have same problem, look like need check the circuit and module in my car before do it , thanks i let you know.

OP - You said the Nav is not shutting down and then you are not sure if the Nav is the problem. OK - what else doesn't shut off?

Has the nav been removed recently, and if so is it the Mk3?

it is mk2 , yes i removed couple time and i put back, just work ,but like i said all the lights still on

I am starting to think: Plug part out; earth not remade; bent pin in one of the plugs. Funny how the 'I had it out a couple of times' part got glossed over....

I bent the pins,nothing change also there couple speakers make a lot noise (static) ,so i disconect this speakers and the navigation,still have stereo and also loose 0.3 volt each 12 hours,i mean every night
