Anyone knows what this is?

It was inside my glove compartment when I purchased it. Forgot about it until now. Is this serious?

I was going to suggest the history eraser button, but it's not red, shiny and candy-like...

Sorry, not much help, I know.

No clue here either, it looks like it might be a bumper or stopper of some kind? Might not even belong in the car. Pervious owner left it behind by mistake?

Haha. Thanks enzed4 and STIHLBOLTS. I was guessing/hoping it didn't belong to the car.

I should throw it away. Just the nagging feeling that I'd immediately realize what it's for AFTER I throw it away.

Look at a cheap office seat...the kind where you turn a knob to secure the seat back in a higher position. It's that type of knob.... It's not part of car...

I reckon it's the foot off a fridge. If it's a clutch stop, it's the longest one I've ever seen! (that's what she said)

Is it a bump-stop for the hood or the trunk? It probably does not belong to the Z, but never the less...seeing the threaded end implies it can be adjusted once installed...

I am curently "updating" (according to my wife) all of the trim, doors, baseboard and crownmolding in my house. I am in the midst of an intimate relationship with that knob. The prize would be to never see it again after this job is completed.

Do you have a conventional jack and tool kit in the trunk? It sort of looks like the spinner knob for a scissor jack I had in one of my older cars??
