Koni FSDs for $649.00 and free shipping.

(I have no affiliation with THMotorsports. )

Today I finally pulled the trigger on a set of Koni FSD's for my E93. THMotorsports had the best price, $683.20. I called to verify fitment, and while on the phone I found out that they're having a Tax Time sale. You have to call in your order to make it happen. It won't show up on the website. But I was able to get my FSD's for $649.00, shipped!

This is the cheapest I've seen these shocks, so I thought I'd share the good news.

Are you planning to install them yourself? If not, how much will it cost for installation?

I have considered going to FSDs as i am not entirely happy with the stock suspension on my 2011 335is. I feel every little bump and irregularity in the road.

However, I'm wondering if the FSDs would improve the ride enough to justify the cost.

I'm going to install them myself. They're not that complicated, if you're used to working with tools.

I hear very good things about the improvement in ride quality.

Does that package include the eibach springs too or is it just the struts?

EDIT: Nvm, it's struts only. They've got the strut+spring combo for $900 shipped

Are the FSD's compatible with the X-drive chassis? I have yet to find a consistent consensus answer to this question. The FSD dampers will most certainly be installed in my e90x is the possibility exists.

Anyone know if these will play nice with the sport springs? My car is an M-sport with the stock sport suspension.

They work fine with the stock sport suspension. I have the sport suspension on my 2007 335i and am currently running Koni FSD shocks and Conti DWS non-Run Flats and it is a huge improvement over the stock setup in terms of both ride quality and handling, particularly on poor surfaces.

Koni has an annual sale every year starting in March. Last year I got a full set if yellow adjustables for my ZHP for $555 shipped from importrp.com

Thanks for the input. I dont plan on ditching RFTs since this is my daily and I drive a lot. Are the FSDs still a worthwhile upgrade while retaining RFTs?

Thanks for the heads up. I guess this deal from last march is a result of that sale.

I replaced the RFTs when the car was a few weeks old. It was fine in South Florida (I purchased it Palm Beach) but after I had it shipped to NYC I found that it was essentially undriveable on NYC roads.

Ditching the RFTs was an improvement but I still had issues with harsh ride, "Pothole Explosions" and the rear end bouncing around and loosing grip. The FSDs really transformed the car and solved those issues.

If I knew then what I know now I would have replaced the RFTs and installed Koni FSDs the day I bought the car and saved myself a lot of grief.

Most sites don't list it as fitting the E93. But it does. I was able to confirm it by going to http://www.koni.com/car-racing/finder/ and specifying the BMW 335i Cabriolet.

I wanted to buy FSDs in 2007 and was told that they did not make them for the E93. I asked if I could use the ones that fit the E92 and was told that I could not. When Koni eventually listed them for the E93 it was the same part number as the E92.

Thanks for the heads up. Whatever catalog they have on koni-na.com has this info omitted:
http://www.koni-na.com/cat_search.cf...32&submit.y=15

Placed my order. Looking forward to a smoother ride.

Trying to decide whether I should do front M suspension bits while I'm at it....

There is a set which includes the eibach kit. I'm not sure if the struts are valved differently for those springs.

Tire Rack does not list the FSDs as being available for the XDrive but FWIW they list the Koni Yellows for the XDrive and the part number is the same for the non-Xdrive. This would lead me to believe that the FSDs will fit the XDrive car.

I went through a similar situation with my E93. I was told that FSDs were not available for the E93. Eventually they were available and the part number was the same as the part number for the coupe.
