The Basin Burger at Snowbasin ski resort is one of my faves. Its a 1/3 lb bacon cheeseburger stacked with tons of bbq pulled pork. Mmmmmmm...

But I also second Smash Burger for a chain

I knew Smashburger was a chain - and they started/headquartered in Denver (hence I called them local) - but I didn't know they were so widespread until I got onto their website today to get the photo. As with all chains, you get good and not to good - I've been to two different SmashBurgers - one was OUT OF THIS WORLD - the other was just good... of course, it would be the further of the two that is better...

Ate at 5 guys last week near Southport, Indiana

I had to eat two double burgers before I got out of there.

Great food!

This beef is a must try if one can afford it. Not cheap but very very good beef.

Last week I spent about $350 for roughly 4.3 Kilos of Prime meat myself. I had wanted to buy the other Kobe stuff but I did not feel like spending $800 on beef. That is a roundtrip ticket ticket to Thailand and 5 nights of Hotel stay. With $800 you can get some prime meat with that too

Enjoy that Chuck Roast beef you bought

The best burgers you will ever have can be found in:

- Cali burger in Elizabeth NJ (is not "the caliburger" chain"
-La Perrada de Chalo in Queens NY

-Los Perros in Tamarac FL

The food is amazing!
And as for Jackson Hole they are good but quality has change over the years, the one in Astoria has best taste but the one in bayside is the most comfortable to enjoy a meal.

Going to New Zealand in June...we now know one thing to check out. Lmao.

I don't have a favorite burger. I tend to like the more simple variety (ie: I don't like cheese on them). Sautéed onions if I have the time is one of my favorite additions.

Love Snowbasin.

The best burgers are at The Vortex in Atlanta, y'all.

Farm Burger is the best of all the new burger joints in the ATL, including the far inferior Five Guys.
Farm Burger is #2 for me, right behind The Vortex. And their Draft Root-beer is a big plus.

We have a local chain here called Smash Burger - their burgers are the best around here - but their fries suck... the fries at 5-guys are great - and the 5-guys burgers (unless customized) - are just a sloppy mess - their "basic" burger is just too "messy and wet" - and not in a good way imo.

SmashBurger:

Their chocolate shakes need to be more "chocolatey" though - they're just "brown" and have a heavy vanilla taste imo - I want something that tastes of chocolate to actually taste of chocolate!
Smashburger is fantastic! We have one here in Citrus Heights. The sweet potato fries are pretty good too.
As far as InnnOut goes, the burgers are OK, but they make the fries from fresh potatoes. That's definitely a draw for me and way better than McD's when you're on a long trip.

In-n-Out is excellent for what it is - fast food. We have place here in Austin that is just as good, P Terry's. Another local place, Huts, is fantastic.

A popular place is Hopdaddy's, but I thought it was barely edible. The rest of the family agreed. Too bad, it looked like it would be awesome
