The original snowsled picture thread evolved into this OT area. I like that it is not just my pictures

No worries get a 5spd ish box for like 500.00 and burn & Learn.

my first car and 5 spd was a Renault Alliance 4dr (old french car imported by AMC/Jeep some decades ago)

As funny a ish box it was I can truly say that its was the ideal first car.
I beat the piss out of it, drove it everywhere, picked up girls, tossed a few in it (hehehe).
Hell I even did a few dukes of hazard jumps in it. (yes literally catching air)
It never failed me until my sister drove it and burned the clutch out.

That said nothing wrong with a auto. I've had a few. A manual feels more... alive.

My son doesn't get any choice, both of our vehicles are manuals. If someone is teaching you how, chances of burning up a clutch are pretty slim unless you are practicing on the streets of San Fransisco

I learned in a then brand new '84 318i, had a strong preference for manuals ever since.

NICE

Let us review...

Your car is too low

This would not have happened if it was a manual

Sucking it up and posting pics of your stupidity.... priceless.

Almost makes me want to admit I ran my car out of gas on the road the other day.... and the reason I ran out is that I parked it on a rock in my bosses driveway this winter, denting the tank right below the fuel pump

You've gotta see the fun in even the hardest of times. You'll drive yourself crazy sweatin' the small sh@t!
It could've been a lot worse than it was.
That looks like the time I backed over my aunt's mailbox in my dad's town car. Luckily though I didn't puncture the gas tank.
Everyone's got their idiot moments.

I was having a camera malfunction. The sun is so bright when taking pics that I didn't see the problem on the view screen

Spring snow conditions are here... The good news was, my buddy had signed up for a Ski-Doo demo ride yesterday. I went along and we rode new machines all afternoon on somebody else's dime

I spent most of the time on the white sled which is one of just a couple 2014 Freeride prototype models that are in existance. I was asked to PLEASE not crash it

Epic ride today. We had some pretty nice fresh snow for spring. The sun came out and we had the mountains to oursleves. I even had a little snow slide on me today. That fresh new snow didn't want to stick to the hard old stuff.

The Sound Democrat Mill... This an early silver and gold mill in the San Juan Mtns.

Sledding at 13,000 feet...

The valley... The previous pic is the back of that valley.

My little slide...

It's the rare factor.
a 64 impala convert in same condition will run about the same.

A savvy buyer or investor (depending how you look at it) would take this wagon,
make sure all the numbers match (key selling point on old collector cars),
upgrade and performance mod the piss out of it
(all tastefully of course), paint it and send it to barrett jackson.

Or bring it back to stock and send it to barrett jackson.
Eitherway you really can't lose.
even as a DD your pretty much guaranteed people will stop you and ask about it.

GOD!!! if it were a Nomad... I'd drop 10 stacks on it.

It's not quite worth 9k. Uber rare though, he knows it too. But even at that price one could s tand to make a decent profit.

Yeah, I realize the rare factor, but for me personally, it wouldn't be worth it. To some huge motorhead, yeah, probably so.

It would be nice to have for the conversation factor though. I just wouldn't drop that much coin into it.

A friend of mine in Atlanta has a cherry white 68 impala ss.
For the most part it is bone stock. But she's a looker indeed.

Personally there are only 4 muscle cars which I'd add to the fold if the money was available.

AMX Javelin
62 nova ss
Cuda
grand national GNX.

That said, if I had to choose 4 cars period (muscle, new, european, exotic, etc)

E30 m3
Alpina B10 biturbo
Grand national GNX
Lanica Stratos

I've only seen one which was decades (literally) ago.
Ever since that's been my bucket list car.
There are so many clones it's hard to find an original.
One day...

Classic BMWs are back in the big screen.

Last movie to my knowledge that had a older model BMW was fast 5s featuring BF.C's own Ralph aka Boogiegoy's alpine e34 525

New movie Pain & Gain Features a few scenes with a schwartz e32 740.

I propose that someone does a noteworthy short indie film featuring our cars as the primary mode of transportation.
I've seen one project. (on bf.c some years ago) But let's see if we can create another one.
Besides with remakes like Carrie, Evil Dead, and the movie based on a book I read in middle school, Gatsby (Novel "the great Gatsby")

Hollywood is starving for good scripts.
