Keeping black exterior trim black
I have a beautiful Space Gray with black trim '13 F25. I know from previous experience that the black trim might not stay black, but might instead become an unpleasant uneven gray.
What can I do, short of not exposing it to sunlight, that will help prevent or minimize that degradation?

Turtle Wax ICE works great and leaves no residue.

Aerospace 303 works great and has UV protection in it.

I treat all my exterior trim ( not rubber) with the same products I use on the paint. No need to treat separate and often. Klasse all in one followed by collinite 845. The 13 year old trim on my 7 looks like new.

I should be keeping score. 303 is available at a nearby hardware store so it will be my first application. Next question: do you spray and wipe without concern about a little overspray or do you apply it more judiciously?
Thanks for the responses.

Do not spray 303 on the paint. You will have to use an applicator. I use 303 aerospace protectant, fabric guard, etc all the time. Just not on my exterior trim as there is no point with the KAIO IW combo.
13 year old trim using only what I mentioned ![]() You can treat them separate and often if you want or then again you can save time and frustration and just do them together. To each their own! Lasts as long on the paint as the trim. Don't have to use KAIO before 845 either but I like my paint clean. Ps, still buy some 303 for other things, great product.
