German BMWs - No Badges - Why?

Yeah, should have clarified I'm NOT talking about Germany. I'm sure Germany is clean and respectful toward others cars as they are in about every other architectural, clinical, engineering, etc. aspect.

Paris though, total other story. Spent some time in London and I thought the cars looked kind of Paris-esque in terms of how people treat them, but not sure. I notice cars in the U.S (at least around where I live) seem cleaner than cars in those two cities.

Now I am realy confused, does this mean you want all the German girls badged?
Or are they different enough, even in a carterpillar, so like the German cars they do not need a badge to get the rightfull approval by the conaisseur?

After all badging is a shallow feature, not telling you what you want to know, but exclaiming loudly what the owner want you to think......

You don't always get what you want, but if you try sometime; German girls and cars, I wonder how you like the Dutch, they are mostly debadged, as a lot of the cars. It is the way we like it.
And lets face it there is more worth in my BMW in goodies than is advertised by any standard badge. Which makes me wonder would it be an sellable topic in the states, to put on a large transom sticker with the whole coded car configuration on it, just to let everybody know how tastefull and whealthy you were when buying the car....

I guess there a number of reasons why de-badged cars are so common here. If I did order a BMW (regardless of engine and associated badge) I guess I am too lazy to bother taking the badges off and am not trying to make a statement. 528, 535 or 550.......that's the way the car was delivered and I'll just keep it like that. YMMV

Very nice thread. As a European, I have no clue why they debadge cars. However, the "friendliness" thing is 100% correct. Some people (countries) in Europe take friendship more seriously than others, but ALL take it more seriously than U.S.

This said, I'm off to REbadge my car, I just need to find a good Peugeot donor for a nice 301 badge
