self install Curt Trailer hitch
Did the self install of the Curt trailer hitch by using etrailer's install video to guide me through removing trim, bumper cover...took about 3.5 hours and was straight forward. Important to have the right tools (plastic trim removing tools, center punch, correct sockets, plastic rivet tool...). $170 delivered from etrailer. Looks clean and professional from the back bumper on my 2013 M-sport x3.

How did you handle the wiring harness? Didi you do any coding to tell the system that the trailer wiring has been installed?

I have the etrailer module for lights ready to install (great instructional video on their website)...did in on my Mini and Touareg and worked well. I also have the OBDII to Ethernet cable and will attempt the coding when I get more time to tell the camera to have a center line.

Mostly using the receiver to mount my 4 bike Thule tray, but will also put a small utility/motorcycle trailer where I will need the lights.
