HELP needed for seat cover replacement.

My son now has an E90, also a 2008, but the leathrette driver's seat bottom is cracked and split about 4 inches. He has bought a new BMW cover which includes all foam and electronics for the heat. We have the seat out of the car, but can not figure out how to get the side panels off to remove the the bottom pad.

We have searched the internet hard and can't find a tutorial. As we all know, the plastic parts are not cheap, so we don't want to force anything.

Can any body help us on this?
