led bulbs for my front turn signals

Hi everybody. I would like to know where can i buy some led bulbs for my front turn signals. Also want to know what model are they and how difficult is to replace the oem bulbs. Thanks.

Not hard, but it's pretty tight in there. I had my teenage daughter help (small hands) me because it was that tight.

The front turn signals have 3 bulbs each. The 2 small bulbs in the corners parking lights and are tough to get to but you can leave them.

There are 2 turn signal bulbs in each housing. One is towards the front with a small metal clip to help access. The other is easier to get to get to from the wheel well panel.

If you really want to do it right you either have to pull the bumper and the light housing and replace all bulbs, or pull the bumper and upgrade to the LCI all LED oem housing.

That's what I did after trying the LEDs. For the LCI you also have to build a custom wiring harness with the diodes, and code out the errors or use a loading resistor. Expensive but a great upgrade.

BTW, you'll spend $70-100 for the 4 bulbs. The cost for the LCIs is about $525.

Where did you get the LCI's from? I want to get those too!!
Did you wire it up yourself? Also if I need to code it what code cable system do recommend?

I bought the LCIs from Tisher. You also need the connectors and wires, total about $550. Once you have everything you need to build 2 wiring harnesses that includes some 1N4004 diodes.

Not too hard to do, you can do everything in 3-4 hours. Are you handy with a soldering iron?

You'll need to code out the errors for the LEDs. It will work fine without coding but you'll get a bulb out message. Do you have NCS?

Where are you in CA, north or south? I may be able to help.

I am very good at soldering worked on electronics in silicon valley for years.
I don't have the means to code out yet as I want to purchase the correct item.
NCS? I'm northern cali central really in Modesto.

Give me a day or so and I'll get the ordering info, and the wiring diagrams.

You'll need to pull the front bumper for this one too. If you have not done that yet it's not that scary.

Check the BMW coding forum and see if anyone near you does coding. I get north often so I might be able to do it for you.

I think its one of the best upgrades you can do.

I really need to learn this coding stuff just need the right cable and software.

Sounds good.

You really don't need a body shop at all. Some common sens and reading on these forums and some personal tutoring from Zerocks1 is all I needed.
