What Engine in 2006 325i ?

OK, I give up. I have searched here and on the internet but can't find conclusive evidence of the engine that comes in the 2006 325i for the US market. I am looking at early e90s for my daughter and wanted to educate myself. Can some of you current owners clear it up for me?

These links are no help at all. The Wikipedia e90 link just lists it as I6 and the N52 link reads as follows:
"130 kW Applications:
2005-2007 E90 323i sedan (Canadian market only)
2005-2007 E60/E61 523i sedan and touring (except USA market)

It is all the "except North American market" that prompted me to post this to start with. That implies they used something different. Maybe M54?

The N52 inline six. The same motor used in the 2006 330i and the 328i, just "de-tuned". (and no three stage induction system as in the 330i.)

OK OK... Thanks for the hand holding. For some reason I was focused on the 2.5 liter. Didn't realize they started mislabeling things until 2007 with the 328 and 335.
