Picking up 328i today! Driving 350 miles tomorrow

My car came in over the weekend and I am happy to say I am getting it today!

I am owning not leasing.

I wanted to know what everyone thought about break-in on the car. Is it better to break it in in short trips around town, or to drive a lot at one time. I am taking a business trip tomorrow (350 miles or so) and was not sure about taking the new car. It would be mostly Interstate, so I would be driving in 75 mile an hour range for extended periods (of course I can mix the speed up up some). In years past, it was recommedned to vary your speed alot during the break-in period.

Thanks

Hmm... where does it actually say that? All I could find is:

Breaking-in period
General information
Moving parts need to be broken in to adjust to
each other.
The following instructions will help achieve a
long vehicle life and good economy.
Engine and differential
Always obey the official speed limit.
Up to 1,200 miles/2,000 km
Do not exceed the maximum engine and road
speed:
***9655; For gasoline engine, 4,500 rpm and
100 mph/160 km/h.
Avoid full-throttle operation and use of the
transmission's kickdown mode for the initial
miles.
From 1,200 miles/2,000 km
The engine and vehicle speed can gradually be
increased.
