Brake upgrade for my 2013 335IS
Ive just recently purchased a 2013 BMW 335IS model. Im wanting to upgrade to the cross drilled and slotted rotors and pads. Is there a kit availible for my car. Im being told that the brakes on my car are exact as the 335I. However when i search i find kits that go up to 2011 but never any for 2012 or 2013 this is in the I and IS model. Did the brakes change from 2011 to 2012/2013? Or is there something availible. I would prefer brakes pads and rotor kit unless my pads will be ok. I only have 700 miles on my car..its brand new. Sorry to ramble on but im new to the bimmer world and ive searched every where for the answer to this question and no one seems to know..Thanks in advance guys..Brent

first question is why do you want to upgrade the brakes, do they not work well enough? You know you have 4 year warranty on rotors and pads right?
next is a statement and take if from someone who has wasted a lot of money on cars and upgrades and then was not happy with the results Save the money and spend it on something else, Like putting it in your 401K, unless you have tons of money to P@!! away plus if you put new rotors and pads on you might even be disappointed in the performance just my opinion Hondo |

There is no factory upgade for the E92 335. Just the 328. Do you just want the look? If so go aftermarket. If you want a performance upgrade do not get drilled rotors and upgrade the pad. The stock brakes have more capability than most people will ever use. Stock set up is just fine for HPDE days unless you are driving 10 10ths.

David thanks..yes im really just wanting the look of the slotted drilled rotors. i think they look really nice. I cant find any aftermarket for my car..it seems they stop at 2011. Thats my question is there something different from 2011 to the 12 and 13's. And yes btw i did know theres wasnt a factory upgrade but thanks for looking out. I guess what im saying is i may have to order for a 2011 model 335I if they are the same brakes....Thanks Buddy!!

.Had drilled & slotted Brembos with Brembo pads on another car. The stock 335is stops better. You might want the "look" but otherwise its a waste of money. Your free brake service is history & possibly any suspension work if the dealer wants to get pissy about aftermarket parts.

The brakes for the 335i and the 335is are the same, there's just a split year with different part numbers. I'd recommend that you check out the StopTech Drilled & Slotted Rotors and the StopTech Street Performance brake pads!
