A71 Power Module

If I were to use a memory saver device (a portable battery that applies power via the OBDII port) is there circuitry in the A71 power module that prevents direct connection (through fuses of course) of pin 16 in the OBDII connector and the positive poll on the battery? Like a series diode for instance? Can I find a schematic of the A71 power module?
