Looking into getting one

Currently I drive a Chrysler Crossfire and I love it. However mechanically it is giving me some issues. It may have an imbalanced engine, causing an annoying exhaust rattle, and possibly warping rotors. Also, being in college a more practical car would be best. I was looking into a 2006 325i or 325xi. Reading reviews some report some issues with reliability. I love the e90, however, i dont have the money to keep it in the shop and be fixing stuff all the time. I was wondering what you guys have to say about it. My friend had an '09 for a year and one of the ignition coils went bad and that was all. If thats all i have to deal with I'm fine with that

Again just wondering what you guys have to say about the reliability of the 2006 e90.

If you can't do new car with a full warranty, I would stay away from the used market, especially if you don't have shop/maintenance/fix money.
