Might be the control module, if your INDY got a good schematic on it, he can jumper the motor to move back to the center and stay there till proper repairs can be made.

Exactly, BMW told me, my Indy told me and the dealership where I bought my car from told me that I needed a new light assembly due to my blinker not working. A new one will run you 700.00 for the pair on eBay.

Anyway I took it upon myself to remove the bumper (1hour job) easy. And I switched the right and left headlights.

Everything worked ???? So I spent 100.00 on a new LCM and installed it in less than 30 min.

Just thought I would throw that out for a suggestion.

Really looking for the whole assembly. that kind of showed more LCMs? thank you though. Im kind of glad that It is only the headlight. I went in thinking I had a coolant leak and they said it was just the sensors. But had bad news about the headlight

Adaptive headlight assembly on eBay is running about $1,300.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350572202745...84.m1423.l2649.

I have not had any success finding one for less. The part with the BMW CCA discount is about the same.

So it stuck pointing to the right when you put your car in park or when you drive it?

Check the reflector (the housing that the bulb attaches to) inside the headlight assembly might be loose. If you can grab the rear of the bulb and rock the reflector up and down...If so... Your headlight level motor ball joint popped out.

Remove air box, 2-3 torx and you will have all the room you need.

I will search for the lights, same as Pelion has on his ride, euro lights for the pair were 700.00. I don't remember if they were adaptive

You shouldn't need to drop the bumper on a 2004.

I know Im just saying the Indy shop would say they have to drop the bumper to get to it so they could charge a little more for labor and get a better look at things ie pulling the headlight all the way out. Im going to poke around it myself and see if thats the problem. But Im still on the look out for a new assembly because I don't think they would say it is broke if its not and Im going to supply the light.

Not much help to you, but everything I've searched/Googled that's under $1k doesnt have Adaptive feature.
Adaptive seems to add another $300-500 to most prices.
