Need help
Does anyone know how to replace a coolant hose that goes from the top of heat exchanger to lower water pump tee connector on a 2000 bmw 740 il?
looks half metal tubing with other half of rubber hose. my problem is to how disconnect from heat exchanger(no access). Any help is appreciated. |

You have to remove bracket first that is attached to bottom of water pump then slowly wiggle hose forward and back as you pull the hose to the passenger side.

Thanks Kimokk, when i did that i broke the plastic bracket , so i had to replace that one as well, and to get to it, had to remove the wheel and inner fender cover.
Lots of work, but it's done. |

That sucks. That piece gets welded in there some times. Always pull that one out firmly but gently holding the heat exchanger while you pull it out.
I removed mine when everything in the front was off. Didn't have to go through wheel well.
