instrument warning light
hi all,
new to the site and new to bmw's, i have a 1999 316i compact, theres a orange warning light on the instrument panel that keeps coming on that look's the same as the red oil light(oil can) it's on the bottom between rev counter and speedo, can any1 enlighten me to what its warning me about? thanks Andy

it's a oil can just like the red engine oil level warning lamp but glows orange instead

There is only one warning light which has an oil can symbol, and it is red and located above the gauges/dials. If you are seeing something which is orange, and below the gauges, it must have a different symbol. Look at this list of warning light symbols and let us know which one it is.
