Being a white car and the stripe down low, they should last almost forever Andrew.

We always get an E36 M3 LTW or two at Bimmerfest, and those decals hold up forever as long as the car is properly maintained.
Because white is the least likely to fade, even if I pull them off five years from now, you won't see any lines.

Jon, congrats on receiving your new M3. It looks good, including the stripes.

I would do narrower stripes starting on the nose of the hood across the top of the car to the nose of the trunk towards the passenger side.

Nice car.
I couldn't be more satisfied at this point. I know many have expressed dislike for the stripes,
but I have to say that objectively, everyone who has seen it has commented positively...

I have never seen a car at a dealership get more compliments by passersby.

Maybe a mid-life crisis (I am 52), but I am enthralled by my new M3, and the stripe sets it
off (and apart from the thousands of other Bimmers on the road).

Anway, finally a pic away from the dealership..

Thanks! I've driven about 80 miles so far, all under 4,000 R.P.M.

I think that looks spectacular for a BMW representative as yourself. As far as big-@ss stripes goes that white M3 carries them better than most. Not my thing though.

Thanks! I am really hoping to get some good weather for a real photo shoot soon. This Spring has been amazing in Santa Barbara, and now it is raining...

A friend of mine is telling me I need the black side gills, but I sorta like the way it looks stock.

Not everything needs to be blacked out, right?

Jon the only things inmo u should do cosmetically and u definitely already know this is
Clear from and rear reflectors" gone r the orange" they clash with the red in the pin stripes and get some tints for the wimdows " obvi" lol and ur done.
100% perfection
Nice to see someone who brings so much joy to so many people get some love back in this Amazing process
Cheers

I love the Alcantara steering wheel. It makes me reminisce about the 330 ZHP that I almost bought back in 2004. I really wanted that car, but I couldn't justify the extra $8K it would have costed me vs. the G35 coupe that I ended up buying at the time.

It sounds like you're saying you can buy the Alcantara wheel as an aftermarket mod. How is the airbag affected? Do you swap it from the old one? I'm guessing you're not getting a new bag for $800, and I sure hope you're not simply getting rid of the airbag as some folks do w/ their new steering wheels...
