How much longer?
So our 2006 E90 is paid off and we love it. Again, it's paid off, hallelujah.
Here's the thing. It has 190K miles. We've not been religious about maintenance, but we've changed the oil on time and kept up with other little maintenance items. Our AC pump went out at the end of September, and we just discovered our transmission pan/mechatronic sleeve is leaking. All in all, about $1500 worth of repairs. There are a few cosmetic items that need to be fixed, (drink holder, vent direction thingy, ring light bulb out, etc.) but other than that, this car is still in great shape and everything feels tight, it still "feels" new. The question is, what's next? and how many more miles can we really expect to get out of it? |

You can bet there will be some issues that will come up. (Hopefully) nothing major. I would say suspension parts will need some replacement soon. Find someone who works on German automobiles & get away from the dealer. The dealer is fine when the vehicle is under warranty or CPO, not so much after that. I had a 1987 325es that I finally traded in at 250,000 miles (I should have kept it to 300,000). BMW has overpriced their cars to the point that only a used BMW makes any sence. I'd rather pay for maintainence then a car payment!!
