A/C problem ! never switches off

hey guys,

there is something weird happening in my car, i dont have back A/C climate control so its all regulated from the front, i remember the front A/C module being called IHKA, forgot what the rear one was called. Anyways.
So when i switch off the A/C, the only vent that stop blowing are the front front, driver vent, middle 2 vents and the passengers vent... however the cooler box are back vents are still blowing cold air.
My up holders & the ashtray get ice cold and the central console walls are releasing cold air as well. I tried disconnecting the A/C fuse ( found a diagram of glove box fuse in the forums) but that only disconnects the compressor, so it still blows air but HOT air instead...so i wanted to ask if anyone had anything similar or is it just me ?

thnx.

Hmmm im not sure why it would do that. I thought the rears were still regulated from the front. You could always just close the vents for the time being. Ill try to look more into your situation

I been closing the vents for a while now, but i've had enough, at times my legs freeze as well coz air escapes through every hole it possibly can. i would really appreciate it if you could come up with a solution, since the rest of the forums cant be bothere to even reply lol.

I read one time that there's a setting for the AC/heat that would allow you to have the AC/HEAT running while your not in the car...warms or cools the car prior to you getting in and the engine didn't need to run for this to work. So I wonder if there's some setting in the i-drive for this that would just regulate the rear vents?

Speaking of which, i've been wondering that myself, coz when i sit in the car & put the key in, but the car is still off the"stationary AC" window pops up,tho... there is no way to alter anything in there besides some timings, no settings, no ON or OFF, so maybe it has to be programmed or something thnx ne ways.

oh would you happen to remember or know where you read that ?
