Rear Entertainment Package

Getting ready to order a 2013 750Li and trying to decide whether to order the Rear Entertainment Package option. I have a 10-year old riding in the back who needs to be entertained. I know many would say that getting an iPad holder for the back seat would be a much more cost-efficient option. I know that and am leaning towards doing it, but would like to find out if anyone here has a different opinion and/or has been using the option.

I know with you get some extra features, like listening to sat radio, viewing nav system info, TV(?) etc. Is it worth the extra $2800? Please help me decide.

P.S. None of the dialers around have a 7 with the option to look at. I would need to drive for about 150 miles to get a chance to see/try it myself...

I have rear entertainment and a 5 yr old. I have used it twice. I do like to have it for show, but not that practical. I have the head rest suit jacket coat hangers and recently got the iPad attachment, def more use out of that.

Thanks for the info. I assume you are referring to your experience with the option in '11 model. I am not sure if the on in MY '13 has more features, or if it's just been prettied up.
