18 inchers going on the boat

At least that's my C/A's claim anyone ever get the dealership to switch rims?? Flip flopping on those beautiful 19' 313's not a big deal here but if I can great if not that's okay too...so any help would be appreciated.

From 18 to 19 on a build is $1000. Think they are big bucks as aftermarket, best to take a shot & see what they say.

Congratulations Chop. Saw Le Mans exterior paint job for the first time last week on one of Jon Shafer's showroom M3s in Santa Barbara. Of all the cars we saw, my wife said it was the nicest looking one. I can't say that I disagree with her. Enjoy.

I had the dealer change the rims on the 335i from style 189 18s to style 196 18s the day I took delivery of the car. I received no credit for the 189s and sold them myself.

Yes captain same offer was made here..Like I really feel like forking over another 5k after they refuse the swap. Screw em worse comes to worse I drive around town with straight rims.

It's going to cost you money either way, but why not do what we did on our '08 535xi? I use the smaller stock wheels for the winter set with snow tires. I bought a larger set (19" in your case) along with summer performance tires. I swap the two sets depending on the season which also affords me the opportunity to go over each wheel while cleaning them to check for any damage or cracks.

I sold the tires that came with the car through Craigslist.

Think the issue is the 313's are very pricey after market over $5K+ for wheels & tires. Selling them will get back some portion of the outlay but no way to tell how much.

That being said maybe a swap can be arranged with someone on city streets unhappy with a set of 19's

Thanks Beden sounds like a plan but unfortunately will never happen...Seldom drive my 3 during winter maybe on a warm dry pavement day as I own an ML550 so no need to beat my baby up. Is it me or does this not seem like a reasonable request?? I mean just chuck a set of 4 19's on the boat and make the said person happy since wont take delivery until the last Friday in March,Thanks
