'06 NAV, IPhone 4S, IOS 6.x and GoogleMaps da bom!
Well what a surprise....my phone was paired to the 7'er as usual and I was looking up something on GoogleMaps...I hit turn by turn directions on my Iphone in google maps and whatdya know..... the spoken directions came thru the car!
 Satellite radio is quickly muted for every spoken instruction too. I don't know whether Google is responsible or whether the Iphone/Apple "connection" to the stock bluetooth unit in the vehicle is perfectly coded....but I am happy. No more fumbling around the I-Drive dial trying to input an address!  Give it a shot ! V.

Really ? I have to try this with my iPhone 5 , so basically I will have to set up directions via google map on my iPhone correct ?

Yes! Me too, it works great. I like that Google maps brings up suggested destinations as I type. Works for restaurants and the like and the directions come through loud and clear through the car speakers. Awesome!
