Getting rid of my 94 525i

As much as I love driving this auto, my pockets are not deep enough. It is one thing after another. I now think the transmission needs an overhaul. I am taking it to my mechanic Monday to get his input. If it is the tranny, I am driving it to our local pick-n-pull auto recycler, collect my $500.00, & get on with my life. I have neither the tools, the skill or the motivation to remove & reinstall a used or rebuilt one. It's a shame as the engine runs really well.

Thats a shame. At least youve mentally prepared to part with it... let us know if you decide to junk it. Dint be a stranger here, id love yto see what the replacement is...

There will be no replacement. My son drove it when he was going to to college. He graduated last May, got married in June & is now working a job & back in school getting his masters (his wife works also). I was going to sign it over to him, but obviously as appreciative as he is of having it, he cannot afford it either. So, my insurance will now be 50% less & I will be able to pay off school debt easier. Win, win. I have my 96 Dodge Ram 1500 & my wife has her XL7 SUV. We live on 4 acres in the mountains outside of Yosemite National Park & a truck is a necessity. I am grinning all over myself. I thanked my new daughter-in-law for taking him off of our hands. Grin, grin. He is a great young man, (youth pastor) & on his own now.

Gotcha. Sounds like its a simple solution then. Seems like hes really got his ducks in a row.

i added a seconds car to my insurance and was almoust none more than before.. removing an entire driver may do that though..
