Web site that rents BMW Tools
FYI
There is a Web site that rents tools with out a big deposit for European cars. The site is Specialty Auto Tool Rentals.com 1-877-218-1596 I used them to rent a cam alignment kit for my BMW, and curently have a rear BJ remover and installer kit from them. Hope this can help you. Thank BMW fixer

Do they rent out scan tools that allow you to change parameters such as headlight sensitivity?

I don't think they do? Go on there web sit to see if there are any scanners, or call them.
