Low temp thermostat

Hey All,

Had a couple of e38's now and selling my current as I had a ride in my friends e65 and it was awesome.

After reading up a hell of a lot on them I have whittled it down to not buying it because of the stupid factory temps they run along with the m62 which burn out seals left right and center/knacker coolant systems without giving any real benefits over say 90-95c other than to fill dealerships wallets.

I did try to find the DIY or where to buy the required parts for the lower temp thermostat or DME flash settings but I could not

If anyone could enlighten me that would be great and I can get on with throwing money on a non diesel E65!

I took my E65 up to 168000 miles and never had any problems and still sold it for £5000+ (and that was also due having all the papers and servicing from BMW dealerships.

I modified the stock tstat to run the car at 95c.Funny you ask as I have been contemplating this mod for awhile and only changed a week ago.Car has been running great and seems to keep that better throttle response it has before full heat up.Im going to do a UAO in a few thousand miles to see any unusual wear.
