Pricing on new 2012 135i Convertible

I have found a new 2012 135i convertible that my wife really likes. It lists for $48945 and the dealer's first offer was $45560. According to my research, that's probably right at invoice price. I'm wondering how much BMW has given the dealership on holdover incentive?

Is buying a new 12 model a mistake at this point? Any ideas on what I should offer on a cash deal?

I'm a newbie to this forum. I've searched and can't find the answer to this. Apologies in advance if it's been answered. This forum is invaluable.

You should be able to buy a 2013 for that.. There is no holdover cash. Glad you like my site.

They are ripping you off. I just ordered a 2013 135i vert fully except nav list was 51 and change selling price 47,100. You can do way better than that.

I am selling my 2013 135i convertible that is almost new with just 1600 miles, which is for sale at a lower price than you'll pay for a 2012, or a 2013. And I live about an hour away from you in Palm Coast. Mine is a 6 speed though in case you were looking for a DCT.

Your price seems to be 7% off, which is what discount the OP was offered so I do not see how they would be ripping him off. The only difference is that he was looking at a 2012 and you a 2013, which will make some difference down the road when the vehicle is sold since it is a model year older. But they are both new cars now.

Except for the fact that his car is already a year old... That is why they are ripping him off. Plus my car is closer to 52 then 51 but the big difference is the model year like you said.

I think we all agree that it would be best to buy a 2013 over a 2012, even if the 2013 is just a little more.
