Style 184 wheels?

I'm looking for a set of 18" winter wheels for my 2012 335i sport line. I found a local set in Minneapolis that are style 184 wheels originally used on an M5.

They're 18x8 wheels with 245/45R18 tires. I understand the tires are too big for an F30. Will the wheels fit my car if I purchase new 225/45R18 tires? What exactly is offset? The seller lists it as 14mm on these wheels.

Thanks for any help.

Really, 14 mm offset? Too different from your car but possibly they are not 14. The offset is often molded to the inside of the wheel as ET 14 or IS14.

Tire Rack has a drawing of offset. Zero offset is where the hub of the wheel is exactly half way into the width. A large offset is where the wheel hub bolts on the outer edge.

Do you have 17" wheels?

I have the 19" staggered (style 401) wheels with Pilot Super Sport summer tires on it. I bought it used, and this is how it was set up.

It looks like the OEM 18" wheels would have been style 397 which have a 34mm offset. I'm starting to understand this a little.

Are spacers an option? They would have to go on and off with each seasonal wheel change. The price seemed right, but maybe I'm better off to keep looking?

That offset will not work for your car. 17" wheels make more sense for winter wheels.

34mm ?
Glad to hear the F30 wheel offsets are still the same as the E90 wheels.

Makes my extra set of Style 197 w/ Conti DWS slips onto the F34 (GT) when I get it in spring!

Glad I could help! I gave up my search for used winter wheels a while ago and ordered a complete winter set up from Tire Rack at the beginning of October. I ended up settling on the new BBS SR wheels with TPMS and Blizzak WS70 tires.

Unfortunately Tire Rack hasn't received the wheels yet, so I won't see them for another week or two. Hopefully Mother Nature will oblige the delays.

The wheels are $265 each. I know their are cheaper options, but I really liked the look of these and since they're new I won't see them everywhere.

All in the package was about $1900 plus shipping.

not bad at all, there are a few winter setups local that i'll probably grab for $550-$650, haha.

I love'em. I think they look great, and I don't really see anything like them elsewhere on the road. I'm not a fan of black wheels, so these were different enough for me.
