M6 Bumper

Hey guys. I recently damaged my front bumper on my 05 645 and now I need a new one ..Im thinking of getting an M6 one to replace the old stock bumper but dont know where to look.

Has anyone upgraded to the M6 bumper? If so, please let me know where you got it from. Im currently looking into one from Duraflex which costs about $500 bucks. Not sure if that is the right way to go but it looks like a good deal. Waiting for someone to tell me otherwise. Thanks in advance!

Try looking on ebay or contact one of the online BMW dealers. Also, one of the members here was selling one for $700 but I'm not sure if it's sold already. As for Duraflex, the fitment is not the best based on what I read here.

+1 on looking on eBay. I would stay away from Duraflex. If your going to pay for someone to paint and install it, might as well try to find an OEM M6 bumper.

+2 stick with OEM. Read Reytran's nightmare about fitting aftermarket parts.

Mine was done before I got the car but I've had it off many times and it fits perfectly.

The M6 bumper does not have space for OEM foglights.

Another thing to consider. My 650 is equipped with night vision camera (didn't know if that's standard on 650 or M6).

Definitely not standard. That is really cool (and expensive). Do you get a display in iDrive or on the HUD? (Or both?)

+3 for the OEM. If you want the front M6 bumper aftermarket I'll give it for you for $200 flat. You come pick it up I live in LA too. I have the front bumper from Extreme Dimension (Duraflex or Andy Autosport are all same).

I'm also in a search for a better body shop that hopefully can fit the M6 front for me. If not I might go with Alpina B6 lip spoiler (it's quite unique I believe). Then I'll replace all the emblem with Alpina. That's my plan for now.

About my nightmare. All I've been waiting these days is somebody vandalize my rear bumper so that I can get it replaced with the OEM by Insurance company haha.

P.S: I start to suspect the shop that I went to, they are professional for 3 series and some 5 but they told me they only did 1 m6 conversion before. Moreover, my rear parking censors start to have problem too. But never mind, thing already happened. I still have the M6 front bumper sitting in the garage.

Hey guys, I screwed up my front bumper on my 645, if I switch to a M6 bumper and remove the OEM fog lights will I get a light out warning from the idrive?

Are there any other cool looking bumpers that will fit easy?

Thanks

What people have done in the past, is simply wrap the fog lights up in bags, tape the bags so no water gets to them and stuff them in the bumper. Do not disconnect or remove the fogs, to avoid getting the warning notification.

Just disconnect the fogs and have the bulb check turned off via coding. Thats what I did on a 6 that I put m6 kit on

Does that bulb check only look at the fog lights?

This is what was done with mine. I may go in and code the removal one day.

There are bulb checks on all bulbs. Just a matter of picking what checks you want on or off
