1998 750il with TV Button???

I am looking at a 1998 750il and it has a button in the rear area that says TV, but the is no tv to be scene? Can someone explain to me what that button it for ?

If the monitor has a TV module, then the TV channel can be selected from the rear seat (when stationary!)

OK, the concern i have is there is no monitor to be found in the rear seat? Is there a way to figure out if it was taken out, If the monitor was there? Were would the location be ?

No monitor was fitted as standard for the rear seat, although one does exist, fitted above the rear seat vent at the rear of the centre console. . Very occasionally a car turns up with one the same 4:3 size as the front one. More often found in the L7

The question is...do you have a monitor up front? If you do, then back in the olden days of analog TV in the USA...the e38s equipped like yours had jacks that allowed auxiliary hook up of equipment that could be played through the FRONT monitor. And even if your car has the TV module...it's moot here in the USA since all TV channels are digital...your module is analog.

Remember, your car is from 1998...factory in-car entertainment/navigation was in it's infancy then.
