I think Mrs. Dump and myself will be heading up early afternoon on Fri. We will be having dinner somewhere in the Tilton area and staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Express just up the street from the diner. We will also be stuffing our faces at the Tilton diner in the morning.

Note to first-timers: the McDonald's in Lincoln, NH is not exactly where it is showing on the map. It is approximately 1/4 mile southwest on Route 112, right in front of those huge 'Lincoln Sewage Lagoons' if you're looking on Google Maps. That's right--your fearless leader has you start off the event at a sewage lagoon.

Either in the Bedford/Manchester area or if it's more convenient we could all just meet at the
NH liquor store on 93N ?

OK, then let's pencil that in for now and firm up a time on Thursday.

You haven't gotten past what happened between me and Mrs. Dump have you?
I chose the Sewage Lagoon for two reasons. One, it makes distribution of the "Sh*t Happens!" bumper stickers even funnier. And two, when you start out at a sewage lagoon the day can only get better.
Can we move on now? Sheesh, it was all a misunderstanding. Really.

Hey, guys and gals: have fun and no spin-outs on cold & wet roads. I've enjoyed watching the postings and admiring from afar (3000 miles). If any of you get out here, we've got lots of twisties that I can recommend! The BMWCCA chapters here in WA & OR organize several drives, and we've got lots of wineries to swing by. And according to recent news articles, we have more craft breweries per capita than anyone else!

I've just joined the Saturday (as a Day-Tripper). Since my ED thru the Austria/Swiss/Italian Alps, I've been hungry to take my 335d up some mountain passes.

If anyone wants to caravan with me Saturday morning to Tilton or Lincoln, let me know. I'll be leaving the western MA area (from Hopkinton; just south of Mass Pike on 495).

Hope the weather holds out....

Cheers,
-Ted

An encouraging note on the weather; the Mt. Washington area (the Presidential Range) has a climate all to itself. It can be dramatically better or worse than it is only 15 miles away. At worst I think we'll have a thunderstorm or two pass by. At the summit we're going to be able to see all the way to next week.

It was 98 here yesterday, and is well on its way to matching that today. I'll try to bring some of the Texas sunshine along with me.

Slick weather just means that each driver will have an opportunity to test their skills. Also, each photographer will have an opportunity to test their photoshop skills

Lincoln on Firday

Hello all. We will be in Lincoln early Friday afternoon.

Plan on driving over to North Conway for dinner via the Kancamagus rt. 112 then to the Mount Washinton Resort to help the Captain at 9:30 PM. Our hotel is just 5 min north of Lincoln.

I hope there is a car wash in Lincoln, or maybe I can wash it at the hotel? I am one of those OCD people the Captain spoke of.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

THANKS FURBY FOR TELLING ME ABOUT THIS EVENT.
