Door buster special!
So, apparently I don't have the ability to see cars coming out of nowhere...
Estimate is $3,400, and I'm cursing my decision to take a $1,000 deductible. Lesson learned. Damage is only to the rear door, rocker panel, side skirt and a bit of the quarter-panel. No suspension damage. No injuries. I guess I got away lucky...

That quote is from when I first got the car. I guess I was really impressed with myself that I didn't have to get the "low-end" BMW.

135i is not exactly low end. its only just short in price to equally equiped 3er and arguably is the better drivers car. As jeremy clarkson once said "the 1 series is the best car BMW make".

The 135Is I just built with EVERY option selected maxed out at like 54k.. I just booted up a 335Is coupe and its base with nothing added is 52k...

ofcourse a 135is is going to be cheaper than a 335is just size difference amoungst other things will help that. Essentially its an identical car with identical powertrains, options etc. What im really saying is that you can hardly go round in a 328 base no zsp etc calling all 135is's low end can you?

I really think that my quote is either misinformed, or misunderstood. I meant it more in the vein of, as I mentioned previously, not getting the entry level car. I guess I was misinformed about the 135, as it seems like a very worth performer. My ignorance is more historical in that I figured the 1-series might be more akin to the 318Ti of years gone by. Not that the 318Ti was a crap car, but more to the point that you can buy an "affordable" BMW.
Some may say that the 328 is an "affordable" BMW, and they may be correct. I was just being pompous as I was impressed with myself due to my overwhelming happiness that was derived from finally being able to have a quality built and well performing car as my daily driver. Sorry to anyone who may have been offended. I meant no harm.
