Hi, have just got my 1st bmw & looking for some info. Car is a 57 318 se. does it have electric seats, there appears to be wiring connected to the seats but only 2 levers at the side of the seats. When you pull the lever for raising the seat nothing happens, & I need to lower the seat but am unable to do this either, even manually. The lever for moving the seat back position works but it is a manual operation. Any help, tips greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I like a guy who tears into it....THIS REFERENCE will start you on your journey - you'll be using it quite a bit. You'll need a multimeter!

Being a California site, Bimmerfest might not be optimal for your vehicle, not sold in the USA. There's a Brit BMW site, very popular, maybe you've found it....? Can't remember the name!
