Suspension Job??
Any idea cost of labor for a strut/shock install all four corners? I have all the hardware (bmw performance shock upgrade kit). Would probably go to my trusted indy for this but he has not got back to me on prices yet.

Be prepared to pay his regular hourly rate, plus whatever profit he would have made supplying the parts himself.

If just shocks 'n' springs, why not do it yourself over the weekend? Nuthin' to it really.....you'll need a few tools & jack stands and learn a few things too. Lots of informative DIY posts/videos available. Either way you'll need an alignment. |

do it on your own, or get a buddy whose better with wrenches. shocks and springs are easy to do. better than shelling out $90-120/HR for labor.

I intended on doing it myself but having never done it before and with only having never replaced anything bigger than a waterpump/tstat kinda thing on a car i admit that im a little intimidated by all the DIYS/Videos and the stuff in my manual. How hard do you think it would be and is it a good project to "learn" on without having major consequences if something goes wrong?

It's a good beginner project - worst part's accessing the rear top shock mount nuts. I wrote a more or less extensive DIY for my personal mods - you'll find what you need there. If I missed anything at all, just Google - prob find it right away. Hey, if you do it, post your own DIY w/photo record! Garage highly recommended for the job w/close proximity to food 'n' beer. Invite some friends.... |

Could typically be 150-300 dollars dependent on which shop does it for you.

How much did you pay for the shocks. I payed $300 for each. But they are heavy duty shocks

Please let me know the name of the shop that will do all four corners for under $300. I'm subbing all my strut work out to them. I can clear a couple hundred without doing anything!
