335I convertible issue, broke a switch

I was replacing my rear shocks this weekend and in doing so I had the top in Half open mode, I ended up hitting one of the plastic switches, it still works but I had to use electrical tape to hold it in place, its one on the arm that is round and it has a pin thats about 1 1/2 inch long that extends down into a socket, I cannot find it on realOEM parts or BMW of south atlanta sites. I really hate the thoughts of going to the BMW place just to find out

any thoughts?

Hondo

sorry no pics

Suggest taking a picture of the switch. I assume it is a microswitch? Since you have searched Realoem.com I am guessing you saw this:

There is no way I can figure out which switch you refer too without a picture. My top is closed right now but it is warm here now and I can open mine to see if I can locate this and try to track it down...
I have a good relationship with my parts guy at BMW here and he has no problem looking at my car to see what part we are talking about. That might be your only choice if we can't track it down...

more like in this one
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...61&hg=54&fg=15

if you look at number 11 its more in the area past number 11 and down the frame, if you look you can see something that is round and looks like a wiring harness but at the end it show nothing,
it could be located in another area under someother heading, guess I will go by the BMW place and let them look at it

went by Hendrick BMW, show the SA my issue, he went out and got a Technician, Really nice guy, it appeared that I broke the plastic end piece that goes to the top drain, so he then pulled the one from the other side and switched them, seems there is one part for left and right so they both have the clips on each side, so swaping sides fixed the thing.

done!
