Coolant level!

So this morning I went to check on my fluids, and my coolant level was high. I thought it was very odd. The car has been driving fine but what should I do about this? I know it's not okay to leave it like this

One might consider draining it to the correct level?

edit: (In reality you should probably drain some. There's a screw on the passenger side of the radiator that will let you drain some coolant. I have overfilled mine before though and it survive, so who knows)

Whether it can affect your system depends upon how high your level is. If it is all the way to the top of the neck of the reservoir filler hole that might not allow room for the coolant to expand after engine shut down and heat soak of the coolant in the block, with the resultant pressure stressing the sealed system.

When I needed to adjust mine I stole my wife's turkey baster and sucked out the excess coolant out until the correct level was shown by the stick, and then put the baster in a marked sealed bag with my other auto supplies for future use. (And of course I purchased a new baster for my wife well before Thanksgiving).

This is good to hear.
Too many stories involving anti freeze and a turkey baster.

This is good idea for removing excess coolant. If it fills again to where it was before this procedure, then you need to investigate further Soliman.
