Breaking in 2013 x3 28i

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forums. I do read alot when I had my old 5 series, but now that I got my wife a new x3 28i (taking delivery next week, and the salesperson gave me a loaner 2013 335 xdrive for the time being) I just want to know the proper way of breaking the car in.

She will be driving it basically 90% of the time so I want to make sure it's done properly.

What do you guys suggest?

I'll also be changing the oil in the car every 8000-10000 kms (5k to 6k miles)

Break-in is simple and in the Owner's Manual, which you can dowload from BMW web site. Here's the section from my Owner's Manual:

Breaking-in period

General information
Moving parts need to be broken in to adjust to
each other.
The following instructions will help achieve a
long vehicle life and good economy.

Engine and differential

Always obey the official speed limit.

Up to 1,200 miles/2,000 km

Do not exceed the maximum engine and road
speed:
* For gasoline engine, 4,500 rpm and
100 mph/160 km/h.
Avoid full-throttle operation and use of the
transmission's kickdown mode for the initial
miles.

From 1,200 miles/2,000 km

The engine and vehicle speed can gradually be
increased.

Tires

Due to technical factors associated with their
manufacture, tires do not achieve their full traction
potential until after an initial breaking-in period.
Drive conservatively for the first
200 miles/300 km.

Brake system

Brakes require an initial break-in period of approx.
300 miles/500 km to achieve optimized
contact and wear patterns between brake pads
and discs. Drive moderately during this break-in
period.

Following part replacement

The same breaking in procedures should be observed
if any of the components mentioned
above have to be renewed in the course of the

vehicle's operating life.

the dealer didn't tell me about this.. and i thought that I should drive normally

My car is only 600km - 375 miles. although i drive in a jamed traffic which usullay i neevr exceed 3000 rpm. but sometimes i have to accelerate and teh RPM reach 5000 - 6000 for a couple of seconds ...
I hope that does not have a bad impact to my engine .
