DME Help

1992 318i While i have everything apart from taking apart the blower motor figured i should make sure my dme is protected after reading a few nightmare threads about water getting to it before i put everything back together. Where are the drains located that need to be cleaned out? Also where can i purchase the dme insulation and the bottom of the cowl that the wire harness connects to? Both of these are in pretty bad shape, actually the dme insulation crumbled into little bity pieces soon as I touched it to take it off.

Bottom of cowl that wire harness connects to

Well i finally managed to find the part number for the dme insulation (51481977110) And found out this insulation ranges from $135-$165 Nooooo way in the world im paying that much for this insulation. Looks like its to the drawing board & making a way to replace this.

The current state of the dme insulation that i removed after seeing those prices and getting it back out the trash...
