Just ordered F31 2014 328xi sport wagon

After months and months of anticipation, finally got to order (or at least get in) to the first production to come into my local dealer. They should go into production sometime in April with a possible late May-mid June delivery.

Can't wait to get the production # soon!!

Hmmm... I thought there was going to be a short run of 2013s during that time window with the oh-fourteens coming online for ordering around July.

I really want to test drive one, so would the the 328xDrive sedan be a reasonable proxy for the real thing?

Uhhh....So you really didn't "order" the car but you got the dealers first slot. The slot you got was for a 2013.

BMW did away with the 2013 F31. The 2014 start of production has been moved up to March.

Crossing my fingers that this includes the diesel version, but I realize it's not likely.

I was informed and looked at the same time that it is indeed a 2014. 2013 showed nothing available. Rumor has it that both rwd and awd versions were going to be available but as of today, it looks like only awd (xi). I really didn't need the awd feature being from Florida, but had no choice.

I'm guessing its ordered as of Monday since I left a deposit and was able to choose what I wanted. I went pretty simple on this one ( since its first new model production and not sure if I'm going to like it or not coming for the N52 335i, so this is almost essentially a "trial" run for me.

Color-AW
ZML- going to be changing quite a bit once I get it anyways
ZPP
ZLP-still a bit discouraged by this should come STD

Ordered mine two weeks ago

Ordered mine two saturdays ago. Was also just told by my dealer that it will be a 2014. I am expecting delivery in mid to late April. Luxury Line, most of the options. Did not get the cameras on the top, etc or auto cruise, again most everything else.

For the US market BMW published that although the short-run 2013 is getting relabeled as 2014, there is still a "running technology change" beginning in July with the wagon. The conventional thought is that they are upgrading the navigation at that time.

I have been considering buying a 335i sedan for some time now... running into a dilemma with the M Sport model.... i currently own a 2003 320d Estate here in Germany and i love its versatility. Not the best handler but it handles quite well considering its a wagon... don't get me started on fuel economy... Just awesome...

If i can get the wagon in 335i trim with all the options in manual... i will probably get it instead... Hope a diesel is available... just amazing how far you can go with one of those puppies....

No F31 335i, no RWD, and no manual.

The already built F31s that are optioned with ZTP include a bunch of new SA codes like 6AC "Intelligent emergency call", 6AE "Teleservices" (the old Teleservices is 6AA), 6AK "Connected Drive Services", etc. The F30s built at the same time, being MY2013, don't have these codes.

That's encouraging, ynguldy. Thanks. I do see all those codes you mention in the MY2013 F31 Pricing Guide. It also looks like the current 2013 pricing guide is out-of-date (aside from the 2013 labeling) and will change a little bit when updated to refelect that 2014 production is starting now. For example, I understand that 6NS Enhanced USB/Bluetooth is now included in the tech package. The tech package looks to cost a little more than the current $3000.

All in all it sounds like good news for us who are putting in our orders now.
