My new 7!

My '12 740Li was bought back by BMW because they could not fix the "Drivetrain Malfunction" problem. I went to my local dealer to get another one, and received a quote from their internet sales mgr who I used before.

I emailed Greg Poland from Pacific BMW and he blew that quote out of the water!!! I'm only paying $50 more a month than my old 740's base payment(without added mileage). My 750 was 96k, my 740 was 85k. HUGE difference in vehicle for such a little difference payment-wise.

He didn't have the vehicle in stock but it was incoming to their dealer still at the dock. I had to work and he had it delivered to my house on a flatbed where I had my parents over waiting for it for me.

Overall he was excellent in keeping me updated, took pictures of the car on his end as it left, and very importantly he made sure per my request that the front plates weren't drilled into the bumper.

I drove 90 minutes each way for the deal, and I would definitely recommend him Very pleasant and easy experience, their F&I person wasn't trying to up-sell (not even the tire and wheel insurance!) very professional dealer! They were just very busy at the time I came in which caused a delay, otherwise I would have been in and out in 20 minutes.

Alpine White
Black Nappa
Ash Grain Wood
Cold Weather Pkg
-Heated steering wheel / Ski Bag / Heated rear seats
Executive Pkg
-Power side & rear shades / Ventilated front seats / Leather instrument panel / Ceramic controls / HUD / BMW Apps
Lighting Pkg
-Full LED lights / Auto high beams
M Sport
-w/20" 303's

The new 7 series doesn't have anything on the A8 or A7. I valet at a high end resorts and drive them both. Dont get me wrong performance wise the M5 and M6 is the ultimate driving machine.

Uhhhh WTF... Jesus dude, this isn't the right place to dig on the car...

Chris... Sick car brother, I was diggin' on that white/black interior on a 750 at Santa Barbara BMW (or auto group, I think that's the official name), great choice, glad that whole thing worked out in the end for you! V/r, Tim

Different taste I guess? The Audi's styling is too conservative for me, I was leaning towards a new M5, Greg had 4-5 it seemed, but their residuals were lower than the 7s.

Different strokes

Now back to regular program:
Chris, I got chills seeing how beautiful the car looks. I now regret not getting the lighting pkg. Great customer service having it delivered to your door step.
Please more pics.
Sadly enough mine is delayed on deliver. I can't beleive how calm I am right now.
WOW...*****...*****....

You can't compare an A8 to a 7 series, the A8 styling wise looks like a design from the early 90s with some fancy LED headlamps and imo the A8 is already looking dated. I've never been a fan of the A7, actually looked at one before getting my 7 and I didn't really like the way it drove. The S7on the other hand feels a bit more gritty and drives pretty nice.

...nice to know that our cars still are showing up at "high end resorts"!

INCREDIBLE, AWESOME!!! Congratulations. Wow, I am impressed at how fast BMW got you out of our bad 740, and into a new 750!! That's customer Service. White on black leather seems to be the most popular BMW choice! It is timeless, elegant, hot, beautiful. Enjoy your new car, in good health!!!!

Sorry...

I had a much more "detailed" response that I paired down to the "WTF" comment...

Congrats, Chris!!! While I'm obsessed with Black BMW's, Alpine White is my second choice and always a classic.

Honestly aside from the aesthetics, and perhaps the more advanced high beams, I don't see a massive difference been BMWs HIDs and LEDs.

I've only driven it twice at night so far for about 40 miles, so maybe my opinion might change.

The HIDs were pretty dang good in my 740, I don't feel like I'm making a drastic step like from halogens to HIDs.

I do love the new squared off Angel Eyes.

Thanks for the comments!
Chris

Depends on the weather and road conditions as well, but imho LEDs are superior to anything I've ever driven. I can see all manholes, potholes etc. miles away, they're also amazing in the rain. I've always thought that the xenons lost their potency in inclement weather.

Congrats!!

Beautiful color combo! White really makes the M-Sport package stand out. You definitely got more bang for the buck in the longterm.

Am envious about the leather dash and the LED lighting. A nice upgrade!

Quick question on the auto high beam; on the 2012 model you need to press the button on the stalk every time to turn on the feature. Our new SL you simply press the Stalk forward and it permanently stays on auto-high between drives (which I like) .

Does the '13 model keep it permanently on auto-high?

The 2013's still require the button to be pushed, nothing too bad!
