E46 M3 Spare Parts on Hand?

Hey everyone--I just picked up an 02 M3 Vert with 30K miles. One owner, garage-kept, all the records. Am really happy with it particularly since I've owned two '95 3-Series in the past. Question is, what spare parts should I pre-order to have on hand? After reading about potential SMG issues I just ordered 2 (salmon) relays and was wondering if I should stock up on some other things...

Thanks! John in San Luis Obispo, CA.

My car had low miles and was a one owner but i replaced a relay the first month. I keep one in my glove box. Also keep a bottle of that "liquid gold" castrol oil in your trunk. Go ahead and swap out the vanos filter it takes 5 to 10 mins, and dont let the white ring thats broken make you think that you broke it. It comes that way. Hell just take it to a shop and let them do the inspection and give recommendations. My constant pressure valve was froozen but they changed it out and my oil drain plug was stripped.

SMG relays (salmon relays) and spare oil (or liquid gold as lenarbjr calls it lol) are the only "must have on hands" for the E46 M3. Typically when I purchase a new car I service all fluids in the car to insure I know the last time it was done. Congrats on the new car and feel free to shoot me a PM or search around on the site (ECSTuning.com) if you ever need parts!

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I received the salmon relays (bought two) and put them in the trunk. And got oil. I guess that's about all one can pre-emptively stock up on.
