BMW Repair Question

Hello -

I work for a company that has a BMW for a company car. It is a 2004/545I/4Door/Titan Grey.

I recently took it in for new brakes and now they are stating the following needs to be done.

Replace vacuum pump

Flush all power steering system

Replace microfilter for front air conditioner

I'm trying to find out if this all really needs to be done and if we decide not to do it what would happen with the car?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gretchen

Welcome to Bimmerfest! I've moved your question over to the E60 5 series forum for you. This is the forum where all the other E60 5 series owners spend their time. They should be able to help you with your questions.

Good luck,
Tim

This is normal for a v8. I know I need to get mine done.
Flush all power steering system
This is a ten min DIY job
Replace microfilter for front air conditioner
If they are talking about the microfilters for the cabin that's also a ten min DIY.

Basically the only thing to be done by a shop is the pump. If your company wants to save money they should just order the parts themselves and have an employee do it.

She has a "company Car" which is a BMW. She does not work for BMW.
